Myself Zoom

I was born on 4 May 1988 in Berlin. In October 2008 I started studying computer science at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and finished my Bachelor degree in summer term 2011. My Bachelor thesis Discovering Vocabulary of a Language through Cross-Lingual Alignment was co-supervised by Stephan Vogel (at that time Carnegie Mellon University staff) and connected to a research stay at the Qatar Computing Research Institute in Doha. I spent my first Master degree year at the National Taiwan University in Taipei. This allowed me to learn new perspectives to computer science as well as Chinese language and culture.

In 2014 I completed my master studies at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and stayed again at the Qatar Computing Research Institute - this time for a longer period (11 months). Since October 2015 I am pursuing a PhD at the University of Cambridge working on machine translation.
